I’m currently building MealBourne — a food-focused creator platform where home chefs can upload recipe videos and earn, and users can plan weekly meals inside the app.

The idea came from noticing two problems:

Food creators depend heavily on YouTube & Instagram algorithms.

Indian families struggle with structured meal planning tools.

We recently launched on Product Hunt and started experimenting with organic distribution (Quora, Medium, etc.).

Some early observations:

Food creators love monetization clarity.

Users prefer short recipe videos over long text blogs.

Distribution is harder than building the product.

Right now, I’m focused on:

Growing creator signups

Improving retention

Increasing internet presence

Would love feedback from this community:

If you were building a vertical creator platform, what would you prioritize first — distribution or monetization?

Happy to share more numbers and experiments as we grow.
